Known Issue - Too much space consumed after the migration

Symptoms: 

The system volume consumes exceeding space after migration to EC2.

Say, C: drive free size was 10 GB before bu 6GB afer the migration.

Explanation: 

EC2 alters the pagefile allocation parameters after the migration.

Diagnostics: 

1.

Open System in Control Panel. Select Advanced system settings.

2.

On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.

3.

On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.

4. Check Currently Allocated value. If it exceeds 1000 MB, alter the pagefile settings (see below)
Solution: 

1.

Open System in Control Panel. Select Advanced system settings.

2.

On the Advanced tab, under Performance, click Settings.

3.

On the Advanced tab, under Virtual memory, click Change.

4.

Under Drive [Volume Label], click the C: drive

5.

Under Paging file size for selected drive, click Custom size, and seta new paging file size in megabytes in the Initial size (MB) to 100 and Maximum size (MB) to 6000 , and then click Set.

Reboot the system.
